I am a Brighton based illustrator, with an MA in Illustration/Sequential Design from the University of Brighton where a group of us went on to create the Fabula Collective, a multi-disciplinary collective that stages exhibitions, workshops, readings and performances.
After graduating, I worked as an Art Director in a London advertising agency and went on to become a freelance illustrator. I now run art workshops and clubs for schools, care homes, over 50s and dementia friendly workshops. I have demenita training, an art therapy foundation and have worked as a teaching assistant in special needs schools.
I began working as an Arts Facilitator with Equal Arts https://www.equalarts.org.uk/our-work/henpower in 2019, working with demenita friendly care homes, sheltered housing and nursery/school collaborations. I also ran an arts after school club for primary school children.
I now work for DASH (Dementia Arts Support Hub) leading dementia friendly art sessions. I have also set up Starling Arts Community Group (@starling_arts23) where I run art workshops for the over 50s to combat lonliness in deprived areas.
